Talent & Development

At Powerspeed, we connect from youth to masters, with physical literacy as a key pillar in the programming.

Our Mission

At Power Speed Coaching, we support athletes across all ages and stages, with a strong focus on physical literacy — the building blocks of movement. Kerry’s experience spans decades, from coaching school children to Olympians, and managing the Talent Development Centres at world-class facilities like Aspire Academy in Qatar.

Our Approach

Drawing from international best practice and principles such as the ABCs — agility, balance, and coordination — our programs help athletes develop the tools they need to reach their potential. Whether you’re a young athlete starting out or a seasoned competitor, we understand the elements that shape talent: genetics, passion, environment, growth phases, and the right coaching approach.

After eight years as manager of the Talent Development Centres at the world’s largest sports facility, Aspire Academy, Doha, Qatar touring the sports schools of East Germany & Russia in the 1980s, and later several visits to A.I.S. in Canberra, seeing how talent is selected and developed professionally, was a sound  background on which to add value to the coaching approach.

We also apply what the RDKMF (Rod Dixon Kids Marathon Foundation) call the ABCs – agility, balance, coordination.
